If you’re looking to do some ice fishing in Nevada this winter, there an area to consider fishing despite our recent warm temperatures……

Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) reports as of January 16th, 2015, Cave Lake in Eastern Nevada near Ely had between 6 to 8 inches of ice.  Trout anglers are reported to be having luck with worms, power bait, and salmon eggs.

Before heading out for any ice fishing expedition, be sure to double check ice thickness, and take all precautions.
