DSC_0171Nevada Board of Wildlife Commissioners to meet in August to set 2014 Upland Game, Migratory Upland Game, and Furbearer Seasons and Limits

According to the Nevada Department of Wildlife, the Board will meet in early August in Fallon to set the 2014-15 season and limits for upland game and furbearer species.

With Nevada trapping season typically a controversial community topic, the Washoe County Advisory Board to Manage Wildlife (CABMW) met in June to review and discuss recommendations to the Board of Commissioners regarding furbearer regulations for the upcoming trapping season.

What’s to be determined by the Board:

– Proposed 24 hour visitation requirement for trappers to inspect their trap lines

-Proposed trapping education programs for Nevada trappers and the general public

-Proposed modification for certain bag limits of furbearing species
